HeartMail lets you make a personal letter, hosted at its own address, and share it as a gift card image. Using it means agreeing to what follows.

You keep ownership of everything you write and upload. You give us only the permission needed to store your letter and show it to whoever you share the link with — nothing more. We won’t use your photographs or words to promote HeartMail without asking you first.

• Having the right to use the photographs you upload, and the permission of anyone identifiable in them.
• Not using HeartMail to harass, impersonate, threaten, or distress anyone.
• Not uploading anything unlawful, sexually explicit, or involving children inappropriately.

We may remove a letter that breaks these terms, and expect to do so rarely.

Anyone with a letter’s link can open it. Letters aren’t password-protected, so share the link and the card carefully.

We’ll do our best to keep letters online and intact, but HeartMail is provided as-is. We can’t promise it will never be unavailable, and we’d encourage you to keep your own copies of the photographs you upload — this isn’t a backup service.

Paid features aren’t available yet. When they are, the terms covering payment and refunds will be set out here before anything is charged.

You can ask us to delete a letter at any time. We may remove letters that break these terms or that we’re legally required to remove.

If these terms change in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top and, where we can, say so plainly.
